“The megalomaniac pleasure of creation produces a type of elation which cannot be compared to that experienced of other mortals” – Edmund Berger
I get asked this all day long: how did I get started in this industry? Well, it’s a long story that goes way back to 2003. I started creating “hacking” forums for online video games (such as Diablo II). I provided free hacks and exploits and networked with users for these online games. Creation thrilled me. New forums, new connections, new people – I thrived on it. With the connections I made on my forum, I started duplicating items and selling them on eBay. This was my first real viable source of income from the internet. I turned this into a huge operation profiting enough for me to buy my first car – a used red BMW that I was in love with when I was 16.
After Diablo II got locked down, I moved onto my other love – design. I ran a hugely successful Photoshop tutorial forum getting traffic from all the tutorial submission sites. I learned about SEO to gain rankings and created a custom plug-in to optimize my forum. With the optimizations, I started driving major traffic (or what I thought was major traffic) to my site and started to get passive Google AdSense income. The profit increased with the traffic, so my next move was to make more sites. I created about 20 sites, part of the “void” network – everything from rap to MySpace to classic video gaming.
I woke up one day and hit gold – I guess people were really looking for MySpace Codes! My site had already profited several hundred dollars from AdSense when I had woken up and it took the #1 rank for MySpace Codes. The story of Eagle Web Assets begins here (formerly known as xCell Technologies). I worked day in and day out to create more sites, and at the peak of my SEO career I had 15 sites ranked #1 and several ranked in the top 3. I was handling about 250,000-450,000 unqiues a day profiting from Yahoo Publisher Network ($3~ clicks), ZangoCash ($1~ installs), and ValueClick popups. Lets say I had a fat bankroll that was only getting bigger
MySpace webmasters began monetizing their sites with this thing called Zwinky, so I applied to the advertising network and was opened up until a whole new world of advertising – CPA. I started off simply by adding a web creative to my sites and making an additional stream of passive income. Some MySpace webmasters got into the new hottest thing.
But, there comes a point in every blackhat’s career where you cannot progress further as a businessman. I decided it was time to quit – especially considering the business was getting riskier and harder to do. I went straight to media buying on MySpace for mobile campaigns and never went back to the dark side in early 2007. As an affiliate, I still promote via social, media buying and popup traffic. Earlier this year, with all the capital I saved up I decided to start a private network and that’s where I’m at now. Splitting my time between my internal campaigns and network management. The one thing that I have learned in this industry is that you need to adapt to survive. I’ve been independent since 2004 – now I employ my father, brother, several internal marketers and network staff. I’m not done writing chapters to my book, so for now – you better get your money while the gettin’ is good. I make this look too easy – but I still work 20 hours a day to maintain my position. Once you get it, you never want to give it back. The Rise to the Top
If your dreams are not scary, they’re not big enough…. It’s been awhile since I’ve updated my personal page. I updated my goals for 2009. It’s funny – I remember in school when motivational speakers came in and told us to set goals. I started setting daily, short term, and long term goals and it made me work harder and longer. Read my goals page now! Goals for 2009
I feel alive! I’m grateful for my family, sobriety, friends, business, my beautiful girlfriend, and my personal connection with God. I was graced by god with a second chance, and I’m thankful for everyday I get a chance to wake up. I’m going to make the best of what was given to me – and I thank everyone for the support. Another day, one day at a time. 8 Months Sober
Money Hoes Cars Clothes: it’s a lifestyle baby. Lets start with money, my first priority in life. If you have money, you got the rest – as simple as that. I optimize all my time to work and build more money. I’m independent and confident because of my success, and I love what I do. Taking risks and innovating is the best part of my business, and seeing them pay off. As Edmund Berger said, “The megalomaniac pleasure of creation produces a type of elation which cannot be compared to that experienced of other mortals.” I wake up everyday thinking about my next dollar, and how I can expand into doing bigger and better things. We all know that money attracts women, but its not just money. Let me explain…
Ambition attracts women. Being happy with yourself and not dependent on a relationship attracts women. Being able to take your girl out to a nice dinner is attractive, rather than being a bum that cant do anything, is also obviously attractive. You can have all the money in the world, but you are not a man without a woman. Sorry to break it to you guys, but getting paid is as easy as getting laid for me. It wasn’t always as easy – but it got it a point where I needed to refine my mack game. So I grew some balls, and went out and did it – just like us go getters do. Like a campaign: I split tested techniques, refined my skill, surrounded myself with women, and kept a general disrespect for women. I did what I wanted to do, was cruel, and got any girl I wanted. It wore down on me and showed that I still was unhappy in the inside, so I’ve lightened up recently. Now I have a girl, yes – that’s singular, that I care about. Like Big Pun said – I don’t want to be a player no more! Things are great right now for me, I cant ask for more. After you get the money and the women there is one more step. You have to splurge on yourself a little bit.
Cars and clothes, I love them both. You know Birdman gotta stay fresh – and that involves buying the finest apparel and new shoes for every day of the month. Dressing nice makes me feel like a million bucks. It gives me additional confidence in life – you never know who you’re going to meet. Contrary to general belief, I do not dress like a wigger. I listen to rap, like bling, big rims, and big cars – that does not make me a wigger. My clothes fit me, and I dress like a businessman. Anyways, girls are not interested in guys wearing baggy clothes and fitted caps – at least the girls that I’m interested in. The only thing more fun than making money, is spending money. You work hard, so play hard. Save enough money to reinvest and if the world falls apart, but have fun too. It’ll make you feel a lot better. Now you understand the inner workings of the infamous Ryan Eagle, oh – and to you haters: keep hating because you motivate me to work harder. Money Hoes Cars Clothes
Merry Christmas everyone! This year I got more gifts and cards than I can remember. I want to thank eAdvertising for dipped strawberries, XY7 for icecream for eCreamory, BlitzLocal for a holiday gift, ExpressRevenue for a holiday gift, Amirouche and Norton for a wonderful steakhouse meal, and NeverBlue for some candy and a hoodie. I’d also like to thank the 30 companies or so that sent nice Christmas cards – everyone from BluePhoenix Media to TattoMedia. My family purchased me wonderful gifts today, and Santa didn’t forget to stop by for me too. Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year, and I had a wonderful time giving to my business partners, affiliates, and family. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas – ill be that asshole that still has Christmas lights up till late January, haha. Merry Christmas
Its been 5 months of my sobriety today, and I look back at how many things I’ve changed in my life – and how many things I still need to change. I’m content with life now – working 7 days a week and networking a lot more than I ever have before. Days are just that much clearer, brighter, and more eventful. I’ve developed a lot more healthy friendships and relationships with people. By working on myself, I’m a much better person to be around. I make time for my family and friends as much as possible – and finally being able to leave my house has been wonderful. Birdman shouldn’t be caged. I have a lot to be grateful for – I live one day at a time and if I died tomorrow I would have lived a happy life. I thank God for giving me a second chance – maybe to help other people. I never take it for granted. Life is Great
Well, considering I don’t pop pills anymore I gotta’ replace it with something healthier. I’ve been taking a plethora of vitamins for well over a year now – even when I was drugging everyday. (more…)
I’m getting my basement remodeled right now by two family friends of mine, in exchange for my web services. I’m developing a few casino related websites for the main remodeler. I’ll post pictures in the coming weeks when I get it completed and geared up with a new entertainment system, and pool table. It’s gonna be hot. Remodeling Basement
This last week has been a very fun, and busy week for me. I was the best man in Amy and Dmitry’s wedding, so I had a Bachelor party for Dmitry and we all had a great time – hooters, strippers, liquor (for them!!!), limos. You can’t go wrong. The wedding was beautiful, I got to see my best friend get married, do a funny speech, dance a lot, and get some digits from the single ladies. A great sober wedding, I would have never expected it. Amy and Dmitrys Wedding
Another day in the life of birdman. Wednesday I beat a big court case that has been pending for months and I’m still a free man. The charges got dropped or reduced, it’s just unbelievable to me. I’m grateful to god and my lawyer that I’m still able to do what I like most – make money. Beat my Case
